Check Shipping Rates

This website is designed so that you will pay ONLY THE ACTUAL shipping charges related to your order. **To check shipping costs before buying -- Each time a product is added to the Shopping Cart a field is present called: Estimate Shipping. In that area, simply install your State and Zip Code (or Country, if International) and several options and prices will be provided. The cost is based on weight, distance and requested shipping speed.

Special Note: We'd be happy to save you money on shipping costs, if possible. There are additional US Postal options such as: Flat Rate Priority Envelopes (which are great for 1 or 2 journals or other smaller items) or Flat Rate Priority Boxes (for scrapbooks or photo albums going a long distance) but they might display when the products purchased will not fit in that packaging so we do not have them activated. Two things you may do: 1) Install this text in the Special Instructions box when checking out: If cheaper shipping option, please use and reduce charge. 2) Send an email with the product numbers and quantities of each item along with your state and zip code (or country and postal code) and we will reply back about any available cheaper options.

Deadlines & Special Instructions

We normally ship same day or next day. It's not typical but, like any retailer, we are sometimes temporarily out-of-stock of something. If you must have your order within 10 days of the order date, please use the Special Instructions Box during checkout and advise us of that "Need by Date." If we anticipate a problem fulfilling your order in time, we’ll email you about it.

Also, if an order includes multiple units of an item (example: 8 of a specific journal or sticker sheet, etc.) but we have less than that on hand and will not be getting more within 7 - 9 days, we will send what we have available and reduce the credit card charge by what we couldn't send. If you must have the exact quantity ordered, please include that info in the Special Instructions box and we'll be sure to contact you first.

Returns

In the event you are not completely satisfied with an item purchased, you may simply return it to the address at the top of the invoice in your package within 25 days from the original shipment date. Please include a copy of the invoice and a description of the reason for the return. A full refund will be provided minus the outbound shipping costs. Please repack carefully to avoid damage in return. The item(s) must be in their original packaging, unused and undamaged in order to receive a refund. Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer. EXCEPTION: All Special Orders are non-returnable.

Special Orders

Very often we are able to accommodate ordering special quantities for customers, from our manufacturers. In all cases, Special Orders are non-returnable. Please email Customer Support at: info at hellotraveler.com or call 828-450-9575 if you'd like to discuss this service.

International Shipping

Hello Traveler ships to addresses in the 50 United States and to many international countries. They may easily be viewed by placing a single item into the shopping cart and on the lower left of the shopping cart page will be the Estimate Shipping section. Click on the country drop down line to see which destinations we ship to. Possible additional charges -- some countries add Customs fees to products shipped from abroad when the shipment arrives in the destination country. Customers need to be aware of any fees their home country may impose. We do not have information about what citizens may owe their home country related to our shipments.

Package Tracking

You will receive an email from Hello Traveler advising that your package has shipped and providing other details. FedEx provides complete tracking info while US Postal offers some movement details plus delivery confirmation.

U.S. Postal Service (USPS) Details

USPS Priority Mail takes 2 to 3 days anywhere in the USA.

Federal Express (FedEx) Details

FedEx 2-Day or Overnight orders must be received by 2PM EST in order to go out the same day. Below is a map showing how many days regular Ground or Home Delivery service will take from zip code 28806 in Asheville, NC, where we are located.

Both shippers use automated address verification systems. We will defer to whatever corrections they provide to an input address.

Important Notes

Rarely, our website shipping cost calculator produces an inaccurate result. If the shipping cost looks quite high to you, please feel free to install the following in the Special Instructions Box when checking out: Verify shipping rates and reduce. We will gladly do exactly that if the website calculator did produce an inaccurate rate.

If appropriate (example: another method will be faster or the carrier chosen is experiencing internet or shipping difficulties), but at NO additional cost to you or extended delivery time, we reserve the right to use a shipping carrier other than the one chosen by the customer.
